On dit que l'origine de « Sukajan » ou veste 'souvenir' remonte à peu de temps après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, lorsque des soldats américains stationnés au Japon sur la base militaire américaine de Yokosuka ont commandé des broderies aux motifs orientaux et aux emblèmes de leurs unités et de leurs bases dans des magasins de confection, en guise d'article commémoratif.
La veste est réversible: une face navy et blanche avec les 'seven lucky pigs' * brodée sur le dos.
L'autre face est bleu ciel et crème avec le dragon brodé sur la poitrine.
* les seven lucky pigs fait référence au folklore japonais 'les sept divinités du bonheur' qui sont les divinités de la bonne fortune issue de la philosophie bouddhiste. Le cochon étant l'emblème de Studio D'artisan depuis 1979.
